Prizes For Games
Games are always more effective at engaging and entertaining the kids if you provide an incentive for them to play. You don't need to provide one for every kid; just enough to keep them interested in playing because they have a chance to win something. For your convenience we have put together the following list of prizes which have been most effective. You can either bring prizes with you and hand them to your MC before the party starts, or you can put them in with your novelty giveaways in an envelope marked "prizes" and leave them at your venue for them to put out for the MC when he arrives.
Sample Prizes
Baskin Robbins Gift Certificates - $2 each
Oversized Candy Bars - $1-$2 (try the 99 Cent Store!)
$2 bills (go to your local bank and change your cash for $2 bills)
$1 gold coins (if your bank doesn't have them, buy stamps from the machine at the post office using more money than they cost...the change should come in $1 coins)
$1 scratch-off lottery tickets purchased from any local news stand (you may want to limit the tickets you purchase to those with a maximum prize of $500 so that you don't later regret giving away a winning ticket worth much more than that)
Pinkberry or Coldstone Creamery Gift Certificates - $5 each
Coffee Bean or Starbucks Gift Certificates - $3 or $5 each
Jamba Juice Gift Certificates - $5 each
iTunes Gift Certificates - $10 each
Anything else you think your group of kids will value enough to want to participate in games
