Slater Entertainment’s dancers have many functions.  First and foremost, they are there to make sure your guests have fun…your family and friends are the main attraction, not the dancers.  Dancers help the MC to run games and keep the kids engaged, especially with larger groups of kids.  As the MC leads dances in front, dancers spread out through the crowd and help lead, so even guests toward the back of the floor can follow the dancing.  Dancers are the MC’s extra arms out to the audience, whether to distribute novelty giveaways or to dance with guests who didn’t come with a partner.  They help the MC to communicate with catering, photographers and videographers throughout the party to make sure everyone’s working together and all flows smoothly.  Dancers can escort elder relatives up to the front during a candle lighting ceremony to give a classier or more formal feel to the ceremony.  They can also lead or follow the Bar or Bat Mitzvah into the room for a high-energy grand entrance.  Our dancers are among the most interactive in the industry; they not only raise the energy in the room, they become a big brother or big sister to many of the kids.

At the peak of celebration we will shoot off a huge blast of confetti which will flutter down over your crowd, creating a scene similar to that of a tickertape parade.  Confetti blasts can come when the Bar/Bat Mitzvah is lifted in the chair during the hora, as they enter the room for their grand entrance, or at any other time you choose during your celebration.  Two blasts at two different times come with this addition.

People choose deluxe sound mainly to make it easier for their guests who are eating or taking a break in their seats to converse more comfortably with less noise or distraction.  This package includes a four-speaker system with two ground-level speakers and two elevated speakers.  The lower speakers throw sound in toward the center of the dance floor during dance sets, creating good dance vibes with less sound reaching the tables.  The higher speakers are used for announcements and soft background music.  For larger groups, deluxe sound can provide a richer, fuller sound that may be “lost in the crowd” when using two conventional speakers.

If your party uses two separate rooms, floors or locations at once, you may need two separate sound systems.  Let us know the details of your event, and we’ll let you know if it can be done with one system or if you will need a second one.
